CONGRATULATIONS 2025-2026 BYSO MEMBERS!

REMINDERS:
You may pick-up your music folder this Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at CSUB between 4:00-5:30 PM. There will be a table set-up close to the Music Building Parking lot. No need to purchase a parking pass. Just stop by and pick up your music. You may also pay your tuition at the time. $250 – Cash or Check made out to BYSO.

Look over your music before the first rehearsal.

Rehearsal #1 will be on Sunday, September 14 in the CSUB Band Room from 5:30-8:00 PM. Arrive early to find your seat and be ready to begin at 5:30 PM.

There will also be a short PARENT MEETING on Sunday, September 14 at 5:30 PM at CSUB in the Choir Room.

$250 Tuition is due on Sunday, 9/14. Cash or check made out to BYSO (or you may pay when you pick up your music this Wednesday).

The Bakersfield Youth Symphony Orchestra remains an affiliated group of the Bakersfield Symphony, operating under its board of directors with able assistance from manager Gemi Acupan. It is comprised of students ranging in age from seventh grade through their first year of undergraduate college. This audition-only ensemble attracts highly-motivated and talented young students and performs high-level orchestral repertoire. Under the musical direction of Dr. Leo Sakomoto, the Bakersfield Youth Symphony Orchestra performs three concerts per year.
